About MySoftScout

Software, thoughtfully scouted.

The software market is enormous, loud, and full of identical claims. MySoftScout exists to cut through it: a curated directory of AI tools and B2B software, organized around the work people actually do — from accounting and sales to engineering, healthcare, and everything between — with independent reviews and a live pulse on industry news.

We're independent and reader-first. Some outbound links are affiliate links, which fund the work at no cost to you — and never influence what gets listed, how it's categorized, or what a review concludes. Plenty of software can't simply be signed up for and tried, particularly in clinical and enterprise categories; where we haven't used a product ourselves, we say so and attribute any assessment we cite to the source it came from.

Curated, not crawled

Every listing enters the directory through a structured discovery and verification process — categorized against a locked 37-category taxonomy spanning business functions and vertical industries, so browsing by what you do actually works.

Honest by design

No invented star ratings, no fake review counts, no pay-to-rank. When a listing is featured, it says so — and sponsored placement, if it ever appears, will always be labeled.

Hands-on analysis

Our long-form reviews come from actually working with the software — what it's like day to day, where it earns its price, and where it doesn't.

Kept alive

Dead links get retired, categories stay current, and the news feed tracks what's moving in the industry — a directory is only useful while it's true.

What "listed" and "reviewed" mean here

Listed

A listing means we checked four things: it's a real software product from an identifiable vendor, its site is live, it sits in the right category, and it isn't already in the directory under another name. A listing is not an endorsement and says nothing about quality.

Reviewed

A tool is reviewed when we've published a long-form review of it, which you'll find on the tool's page and in the Reviews section. Every review says how it was researched: hands-on where we could get access, or built from vendor documentation and published sources where we couldn't — much clinical and enterprise software can't be trialed at all. Only a small share of listings are reviewed; the rest are listed, not judged.
